For those that are in the Reading/Newbury Area.. the Texaco I believe in Thatcham, its oposite a school on the north side of the road... anyhow still pumping SUL/UL, unlike the other garages round here that all the muppets bled dry... I worked out in costs me 20 quid a day to get two and from work, for fuel that is... hence why I went lookin' cos I was almost out..

Hope this info helps someone else who is looking for SUL in this area..

Just us commuters
Not going to be to benificial for me runing up and down the Pennines.

Stood in the queue yesterday (not another sheep I needed the juice). Followed a K reg Metro to the SUL, which planet are these guys from, he's taking our limited 97 RON when he can use unleaded of four star at lower cost!

But my main concern is just what is the effect of using unleaded. The car has always run SUL from day one. Something I read indicated that the unit has to be recalibrated, others say the electronics are smart enough to identify the change back to SUL.

:confused

Banshi,

Sorry mate, just thought I'd post it for the benefit of the local impreza boyz I see around these ways each day... I checked 4 garages on the way over from guildford today, as I knew I could get to work, but not home again..

I whole heartedly agree, I saw a few idiots filling their heaps up with SUL, when clear unleaded (a 5 minute longer wait) would have been all they needed...

Looks like I may be at home next week, if this continues.. alternative is UL + octane booster... more expensive than SUL i believe.. (could be wrong!)..

Downside, I had to pay 89.9 for SUL today, ar$e..

Thumbs up

Alex,

Price of SUL in my area is 10p a litre more than UL. 50 litre fill up is £5 more for SUL.

Millers Octane Booster is £3.50 retail saving of £1.50

Trade price is £2 -ish saving upto £3 per fill up.

Depends on prices in your area though.

Cheers
Lee

Alex,
Don't know what way you go from to guildford to werever but Sainsbury's in Bracknell have SUL quite cheaply compared to branded fuels and so does the Shell just past the sports centre, As a seperate open question whats better a "brand" name unleaded or supermarket SUL?...i seem to run better on the sainsbury stuff??? sorry the car does i fall over if i drink petrol..........
