Default The mudflaps are off! gawd damn em!

Well after some 'skill' at parking the other week, i managed to rip my n/s/r mudflap off and leave it lying on the pavement. LOL. Well, not lol at the time, but i can lol now.
It has only gone and ripped the holes where it fixes to the car, so i thought, right, thats it, i have had enough of you!
So i got them all taken off and promptly jumped up and down on em Monty Python style. The only thing i could not find was a bush to thrash them with!
So my car is now back to its original look.
And of course now i have to say it looks better without them!

Mudflaps are pointless unless you are a rally driver. Had them on my old 222b and hated them. I was going to take them off but I sold the car instead. I'd have rather painted the sides every two years in that car than have mudflaps.

Plenty of money to splash around then.

For the sake of £65 i think they're a good investment, but i don't mind the lOOks either. Just got them to match the car colour and no logos. Hardly notice them.

I prefer the look without as well, but don't like all the stone chips or having to get the car painted.

So I'm keeping mine

Same thing happened to my mates Prodrive mudflaps. He had to fit a metal plate to fix it on again as the holes were ripped to big. I`m amazed the damage happens so easily.

i love the mudflap look and i love the flaps...but they are a big headache when you live in London, i scrape practically every hump and there are loads in london, every pavement, any harsh cornering and am scraping the floor, heavy load and am scraping the floor even with a simple manuever.

but i still love them tho

But couple the fact that your front end is sooner or later gonna need a re-paint too thro stone chips(in my case 3x in under 20k.)

then mud flaps are worth their weight in gold

I actually think that newage cars kinda look odd without them

The mudflaps scraped up and down my drive, lock to lock hit the tyres and they look naff!

And if someone needs 3 resprays on their car under 20k that's unreal, you're either a tailgater or use a sandblaster instead of a jetwash

Just bad luck, you wouldn't believe the care I take as far as my car is concerned.....but on two occasions I've had stones flicked up at the bonnet that have caused dents to it,despite being miles behind the vehicles in front

The 3rd time was to blend the whole front end in properly as even the plastic front bumper was getting peppered with marks everywhere,I find myself getting out and checking the front after every journey now

Subaru paint is a complete joke

He'd love my current Impreza, stone chips, doors dinged and it hasn't been washed in several months.

Yeah, i found out rather late
What i was actually trying to do, which makes it all the more funnier, was reverse up a gap in the pavement, you know like a driveway kinda slope, anyway, i was that busy looking at the gap where i was gonna park, i had alligned myself like 2 foot away from the start of the gap and rolled up the kerb instead, now i say roll and i really do mean roll, and when i heard the crunch i could not believe it! Anyway, the kerb is one of the smallest in height i have bloody seen too! LOL, FFS i pick the smallest kerb in history and still ripped it off.
So that s why they got thrashed Monty Python style and binned.
