Found out at Power engineering on saturday that my STi was overfueling heavily at high revs, hence 160-170 to a tank!!!!!!!!!
They said the Lambda sensor could possibly be faulty.Know i now that this gives a reading of air/fuel ratio to the ecu and sets it accordingly but could it be anything else??????????
I had to heat up the lock nut on the sensor when i first changed the downpipe so maybe ive cooked the damn thing.
Any ideas appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

There is no lock nut so if you used a torch (flame) then you certainly will have damaged it, best replace it to be sure, if you have no check engine then that is almost certaiunly the cause of the poor consumption.

The fuel pressure regulator could also be off.
