Default Newage Idle Control Valve

My 2003 WRX has problems idling. Its fluctuates and then has problems driving. Is there a particular way to clean the ICV? I have used carb cleaner and lightly oiled it too (WD40).

When I clean the ICV, the car idles fine for a few days. Then engine light comes back on with the dodgey idle (and error code) - usually after firing up the car in the mornings.

I originally had a engine light on because of the MAF (MAF low error code). So, I replaced the MAF sensor catridge (recently bought from BR Dev). Then I had this new error code for the ICV.

Any help will be much appreciated.

regards,
