If you are going to fit one get a vent and the interior panel from www.japperformanceparts.co.uk then just find a good bodyshop you trust enough to cut a hole in your roof.

I was thinking of having it done to mine, just haven't got round to it yet.

I believe the "real" ones have strenghtening to the roof also and are not just a hole cut in the roof.

I fitted one to our rally car....the main strengthening bracket is already fitted to the roof structure. There is another bracket which which supports the vent hinge and that bolts up to the fixed bracket.
Quite scary trying to measure it out accurately, and then getting the jigsaw in the car and actually cutting out the hole...one chance only..

good luck

good guide, not the roof vent I had thought of though, I prefer the scoop looking one but have never seen a 'real' one fitted.

Was just going to ask what these are actually for. Then I see that they are for ventilation for the driver. Is that right?
I always thought they were cooling for mid engined cars, because I've only ever seen them on an MR2.
