Default washer tubes....

...whilst doing work under bonnet today i looked at washer tubes and wondered if it was in the correct place? it seems to sort of just hang down as you close bonnet. is this normal?? or should the tube go through more of the bonnet or something? its the bit in the corner between where it splits into 2 lines and where it is clipped to body.

Mine run along (and wrapped around) a hot water hose - very clever idea as hot water is then used on the windscreen and headlamps!!

im not convinced the intercooler spray works either

Engineer??? jeeez now your scary!!!! didnt you learn about thermal shock lewis??

how many times do you see people in the morning pouring hot water onto freezing cold windscreens. then they wonder why the screen cracks or leaks later on!!

glad to see you employ bodge techniques, it makes the rest of us look superb when we come in and clear up your mess

cable tie it back, allowing a small loop to allow for bonnet opening or closing.

faililg that, mod them to run from the scuttle panel no triling hoses that way

scuttle panel is the horizontal panel rearwards of the firewall. its where all the rain water runs away

Isn't a bodge to be fair mate as it'll be warmish screen wash compared to boiling water from a kettle

Talk about jump on a bandwagon.

Mart is a raving halfwit that cannot get a job ... and when he does he's kicked out once they realise he's a raving lunatic!! So, I ignore the poor fella - it can't be easy only being employable as the Village Idiot

What you say is quite correct, but is lost on him, a boiling kettle thrown on the windscreen is COMPLETELY different to a gently warmed washer water jet!
