Looking at ScoobyNet recently it is apparent that posters feel very strongly about the Islamic fundamentalists wanting to dictate how we conduct our lives - and using violence to try and get us to bow down and abide by Islamic laws.

It is also apparent that the large influx of immigrants is reviled.

If the feelings coming across are reflected across the Uk then are we going to see some protests against the erosion of our way of life??

I'm not saying it's right or wrong ....... I just get the feeling that emotions are running wild

I dont think we'll see civil war, the English dont really like to express their true feelings in public.

Probably just see a surge in support for right wing parties like the BNP, just like has happened in many other countries across Europe where they are being flooded with immigrants who dont intergrate, and cause problems to society whilst being a drain on the nations resourses.

Ive certainly had enough, and many people have much stronger feelings than myself on the matter.

Things clearly wont settle down - they can only get worse.

And to respond to your post, I think you've got a valid point. Obviously opinions on here are going to be slightly more extreme versions of those held by the man on the Clapham omnibus, but in general, from what I've seen out in the real world as well as online, there's a backlash brewing. It may well come in the form of extreme right wing parties getting more votes or it may come in the form of more and nastier racial incidents. But it's coming...

And there's the rub. There does'nt seem to be the same bad feeling in Scotland. Obviously revulsion at the acts carried out/attempted by the terrorists but there seem to be very few ethnic minorities up here compared to down south(either that or they keep their heads down). Because of this I don't think there is the same racial tension.
I lived in London for a few years and now am glad to be back up in Scotland. Life is nice and quiet where I live

Nothing will happen, the English are too weak willed to act, majority haven't been pushed to any sort of desperation so will just continue to chat about their house prices.

Were we weak willed when we responded to the **** menace as PSL indicated, or when we defended the Falklands which was a very difficult and dangerous affair, or when Iraq first threatened Kuwait some 40 years ago, or when they actually did occupy Kuwait, or in our resistance against forms of terrorist attack, or when we fought the communists in Malaya.

You should be ashamed of making a remark like that and if you have such an innate dislike and lack of respect for this country I suggest you leave this forum and post your disgraceful remarks somewhere else!

Today you will see very few people speak out or act on something that is so blatantly wrong. It can be down to fear of unfair retribution from the pathetic laws in place or the soft non-competitive environment we are now breeding.

As our youngsters come through, brainwashed by this governments namby pamby approach on everything wrong, then it'll only get worse.

You only have to read some of the posts on here from some of the younger members, that haven't got a clue how to think independently or possess any real substance.

Just like yourself, those great victories are in the past. From your posts you appear to be a sanctimonious fool without any real drive or conviction. As someone has suggested previously if you were in charge during WW2 we'd be speaking German.

We are now at the stage where close to 50% of this country don't bother to vote anymore. The majority of the silent middle class will never say anything publicly or unite in any group of significant numbers against anything where they might be considered politically incorrect.

Having the forces of the 3rd Reich amassing across the channel was an imminent theat to the survival of this country, that forced people into action. The Falklands was again a fight against a common enemy. But the enemy is now English/British.

Or are you suggesting that "white is might" and that one day the white people of Britain will rise up against the non-whites in racial war and that the whites will conquer all, because of their English spirit? (similar the old colonialist spirit that means British forces can go around the world and interfere where they are not wanted)

The relative slow buildup of Islam and unwanted immigrants is far more insidious and is the type of thing that will just overtake the country without the English really knowing over a couple of generations. The country isn't being taken over by force, it's being taken over economically and reproductively.
