took gearbox out today had a leek somewhere and could not see from under car.
found out it was the pannel you remove to take the 10mm screww out for the gear lever was leeking where I have used an universal gasket sealer because I could not find my 3 bond.
The moral of this post never bodge as people told me when I was pitting it in the first time.

 

i will only use 3 bond for any engine or gbox work on subarus, its not worth not using it!

i would use a new gasket and if the old one was still in good nick i would use a bit of wurth high temp rtv a very liitle amount is nedded and it will never leak again hope this helped paul stabler (paul stab)
