Hi M,

Not a suggestion of a garage I'm afraid, but all MOT testers are theoretically meant to all go by the same rulebook of what passes and what fails.

So hopefully, all MOT garages should be equal.

http://www.motuk.co.uk/ is a great website listing all MOT requirements and also a search facility to find a local MOT station for you.

One tip: It's always worth taking a clued-up car person to the MOT in case the garage suggest that your triple-whipple valve has blown or something in the hope of getting a few bob out of a non mechanically minded person.

Good luck,
Nige.

I am guessing he wanted an 'easy' MOT Testing station??

Or there is simply no point in the question, as EVERYONE knows where an MOT Testing Station is - they are not rare!!

It has nothing to do with wanting an easy mot,The garage we used to use is full of little boys who think its fine to to take a car out and drive it about like its ther own!

And the only other garage close to us said they would need the car for 2 days!which isnt an option!

They shouldn't need to drive your car unless it won't go on the brake rollers and it should take a maximum of one hour, as said.

You should also be able to view the testing. If they refuse, go elsewhere.

True.

Mine was just taken down the road 20-30 metres, and I was asked to tag along as mine would'nt go on the rollers.

If you want a fair deal and you're worried about the car being abused; Take it to anywhere that will do it while you wait and make it clear from the start you are getting any repairs done else where.
