if its a recon, can you not take it back, as its only a few months old?

the end tanks are prone to splitting but not at that age and should be ok if its been recon'd correctly.

No idea what youd cause it other than excess pressure, and dont know what would cause that either.

Alyn at www.asperformance.com can sort you out with a good recon. I think they will also take your old rad in and give you a little back so long as the core isnt shagged.

give them a call, they might be able to hels if you dont get sorted with the supplier of yours

Obvious checks, all water hoses and clips for tightness, minute crack in a hose opening up in use. Are you overfilling, I run coolant level at lower mark on expansion tank filler tube. Stupid thing, is drain tap tight and seal ok?
A pressure test may show where problem is.
You may have to consider a leaking cylinder head gasket that is pressurising the cooling system.

If your water level isn't going down, it could just be coming from the aircon?

If its leaking under the bottom rad hose then I would say this has a tiny split in it that manifests itself when engine is hot and running under pressure. I had the exact thing on mine after I had replaced my rad. Somedays it was okay, other days there was a bit of a puddle.
