can anyone please tell me what the is soo good about the RB5?

what changes did they make compared to the standard impreza?

whats the power, tourqe, 0-60 etc?

how does it fair up to the wrx and sti in performance, handling etc

are the sti's/wrx's better as i may have the chance to get one and want to know a little about them?

try the rb5 owners club website, they are very helful and sections that give answeres to your questions.

my limited knowledge of the rb5 are that they are basically a classic with the same performance 215 bhp, although they did the wr sport version with ecu upgrade to 245bhp(i think). this also comes with high level spoiler.

all in all i think they are a great looking scooby which is ltd edition and unique styling.

 

i thought they were 237bhp with ppp im proberly wrong though. Mine has the prodrive bits but is non wr sport.

 

The RBs are cheaper insurance at group 17 compared to imports at group 20

 

2 versions, the WR sport and the standard.
WR sport had the larger spoiler, PPP, white dials with RB5? on, PPP was approx 250bhp though its stated at 237 on normal unleaded (super recommended).
Standard car was the same performance as a normal MY99 car, 215bhp, 214lbs torque.

Rather than concentrating on unusable top end power the Performance Package develops most of its benefit in the all important mid-range where it is in its element for over taking and real world driving.

In addition to the above comments the Prodrive spec has 'WR Sport' on the dials and does 0-60 in 5.0 seconds, standard spec does 0-60 in 5.4 or 5.6 seconds.
