Default Piston Slap

Does any one know if piston slap damages the bore??

Hi mike, i'v known peaple that have had piston slap on classics from new, they've driven there cars hard and had no problems at all, i'v had engines apart that have had piton slap and found no damage what so ever!!

cool cheers matt. only asked coz im getting worried about me piston slap think it might be getting worse.

it will only get worse mate, could last 10000 miles could last 10, mine was pretty loud even when hot.. thought it best to get it done plus the noise was so annoying

Default slapper

I have quite loud piston slap on my wagon, it was rebuilt 20,000 miles ago with forged pistons..but told by the engine re-builder that it is quite safe, and to give it some welly!
