Thumbs up

Result - well done boys. Certainly backs up what I was told a few weeks ago when stopped for a 'routine' check in the Heathrow area.

Talking

Spoke to a friend of mine who has an STi V.

He says that over the last three weeks there have been four attempts to steal it, always around 0230.

Two nights ago he was woken at 0300 and was worried as he thought it was them again, prepared to threaten him for the keys.

Turns out that Plod had been hiding in the bushes and when the blaggers came along they were arrested after a spirited chase!!!!

There were four of them and they targeted Subarus in the south-east to use for ram raids. Plod has been after them for months. They were caught fully tooled up and ready to go!!!

Well done Plod I say (and I don't say that often). Us Scooby owners can sleep just that little more soundly at night.

Cool

Now that's what I need to protect my car - a set of police in the bushes.

Or maybe some stickers saying "This vehicle is protected by the police who are currently watching (and videotaping) you. Now bu66er off!"

Nice one.

Now this should be published nationally so that the public can support it, and the police can realise what they need to do to get public support.

Unfortunately they were probably hiding in the bush with a speed gun, incase the milk man managed 31mph in his milk cart

Rannoch,

when you say 4 attempts, how far did they get each time and what stopped them getting away with the car? Just asking 'cause I can't understand how these 'bar stewards' expect to nick a car with a CAT1 alarm/immobiliser without putting the car on the back of a lorry?!

You can't get around a CAT1 immobiliser too easily can you, or am I being nieve? Maybe I should get a Tracker for the Evo..
