the engine doesnt run right and just doesnt pick up and there

seems no power as it takes a long time to build up the revs

what could be wrong? the engine seems to be vibrating the

car.

there is no rattling or knocking noises so

im stumped. any help appreciated.

p.s i know it aint my scooby but i gotta get the car sorted.

 

possibly the coil pack.. with it idling remove each HT lead in turn (try not to get a shock off them) and one of them should have no effect.. seen it on a couple of them and a couple of Fiestas.

ive taken the HT leads off one by one and it turns out no 4 isnt working so

will have to try new leads and new coil pack if that doesnt solve it.

COIL PACK!

Got rid of my 03 zetec 5 months ago after a long list of electrical probs, last of which was on xmas eve eve when the coil pack went. Limped to the garage on 1 cylinder sounded like a tractor and got overtaken by a moped!

Any decent mechanic should have it sorted in half an hour tops

 

Yeah coil packs are a weak point on them.
