Default Fuel economy

Blimey. I topped up with 44 miles on the clock with Optimax and it came in at just under £12. Thank God I've bought a vRS to do the commuting in, it's exactly 1/3 of the cost per mile! Maybe my neghbours are pinching my petrol

Look on the bright side - If petrol were beer we'd think it was cheap! Pretty much given up drinking since I got the 'Preza so it balances out. At least I remember driving the car after it's burned £50...

now thats a really good point!

I put £55 quid in one day last week and got 400 miles, good or bad>? My honda would do 320 miles for £25.

Well that equates to 32.6 mpg - about what my STI does if I'm sensible. Can't argue with that given the performance available.

My dad has a 2.0sport (non-turbo) that struggles to match the mpg I get!

£65 (filled tank and Jerry can) = 250 miles!!!!!!!!

No leaks and does not seem to be running rich. I get the same if I drive like my dad or my 19 year old son.

400 miles on £55 I wish.

Cheers. Mark.

Well there is obviously something wrong with it - lambda sensor? Either that or you're only using 1st and 2nd gear .
