Default 340 miles out of a tank

My personal best, I was shocked at how much difference sitting at 65 makes instead of 75 - 80 .

Bit boring though

LOL, tell me about it
I always average around 280 anyway so i dont give a ****. Haha.
I dont get much time to drive her anymore "properly" as the missus is always moaning about how dangerous i am and how i should not be on the road, etc, etc.
Which really pisses me off when all i do is brake hard, or corner faster than 30 mph. ******* gets on yer top bollocks it does!

The light had ONLY just come on so could have got a few more out, but didnt want to risk it.

How daft being pleased with 26 MPG, most people would be discusted if they got that out of their car

I managed 31 mpg a couple of weeks ago, did a 200 mile round trip and i only took half a tank. Mine you i did drive the whole time competely off boost and didn't have any seats in the car except for the drivers for half the trip (was picking up an STI 8 interior).
I was very impressed as i normally get about 20 mpg if i'm lucky.

Same here, just wanted to seen what the car could do. I'd love to know how PS Lewis claims getting 40+mpg, he must switch the engine off going down hills and never go over 2000 rpm.

Wow, thought I'd done well getting 290 before the light came on Thats got to be getting on for about 310 for the tank, best I've ever got out of it

Was a mix of motorway driving and hacking about round country lanes, so good fun. Normally only get 240 during the week to and from work at best.

Who cares anyway, MPG not much worse than my old Civic but a helluva lot more fun

I don't know why everyone is moaning about driving like old ladies .......i think there is a couple of ways to drive your subaru.

I enjoy opening the car up all the way through the rev range, but sometimes i like to just chill with the burbles.

I'm not sure the standard fuel pump could supply 4.4mpg :-)

My STi used to do about 10mpg when driven or around 20ish when touring along but there is a huge difference between 10 and 4.4!

What's your secret?

Oh, hacked the STi in for a Golf and now get 50mpg which suits me rather better at the minute.

I must be doing something wrong. Even on a motorway trip running off bost I barely get over 220 miles to a totally full tank from my UK turbo MY00 !!

Seems likes thats pretty crap really.

Thumbs up

I've just done a 1300 mile round trip over to south west france and back in a MY96 uk turbo with full decat and exhaust bung. Managed a mpg figure of 30MPG..........................!

Well impressed and an avarage speed of 80MPH.

Si.

In normal motorway type driving i get about 145miles to £20, not sure what MPG that is. Normal back and forth to work i get about 170miles to £30 again not sure what MPG this is.

Car UK turbo MY01

Checked my economy out the other because I use the car as a daily driver to work and back and wanted to work out how much I need to spend each month on fuel. Normal driving on some of Yorkshire's finest A and B roads saw just over 26mpg.

Compared it to the L200 TD's I use in work and the impreza is more economical. Time to convert the workhorses of the fleet to wagons me thinks

Mmm seems like my MPG is pretty bad. I've heard the map on the MY00 is much richer than that on the MY99 so economy is pretty much the worst of the bunch. Anyone able to confirm if this is true or not ?
