Hi,

As you haven't got any replies - I'll throw this in (it's purely general though). On previous cars I've been able to disable the airbag by removing a fuse or relay. Maybe if you get some advice from an electician?

Sorry can't be more help.

Dean

Not sure about the drivers one, but the passenger airbag should have a switch of some kind for the addition of baby seats in the front.

The dealer, I would hope, would do this little thing as a favour without charge..

You can over ride the seat airbag by plugging in an airbag resistor. This is the same as the Subaru tool for airbag diagnostics and allows the rest of the system to work with one or more components removed.

Why would you want to do this? Do you not like your wife or something?

Air bags are a pain the ***e. Still people want 'em. Sigh

If there's a switch then it should be OK, otherwise, be very careful, 'cos of the insurance.

In my experience, sprog is fine in the back. They soon get used to it.
