Default TEG Sport - Steve Simpson

I'm new to the forum and have just had my 94 RA in at TEG Sport and Steve Simpson.

TEG Sport mechanicals carried out first class, and really know their stuff - thanks Aaron

Had ECU and mapped by Steve Simpson and he identified a problem with my exhaust, even though he had it boosting and performing extremely well. I went off and fitted a new Blitz system and took it back this morning for remapping.

Hell, what a difference

So, anyone needing any work, mechanically and/or electronics, then these are your guys. Well worth the mileage for me.

Thanks Steve and Aaron....

John

Steve did my GEMS too EXCELLENT! Also if you have a query about something send him an e-mail I have asked him about a number of things always getting a honest reply. Hoping to be down there at the end of April to get a 3 port boost solenoid fitted and a tweak of the map.

Default Steve Simpson / TEG ECU

I had one of their new ECU's fitted by Steve on my 96 RA.

What a differance !! Not only did I get a HUGE increase in the way it goes, but it actually uses less fuel ! I couldn't believe this, so I rang Steve as I was a bit concerned that something was wrong - but he said everything was fine, and that he nearly always manages to improve the fuel consumption as well, due to the standard ECU being too rich (not sure why this is)

I also had the 'Two maps' option fitted, whereby I can select what boost i want to run, just by holding my foot on the gas pedal when I switch the ignition on - it's the only ECU i know of that lets you do this. I do it before the girlfriend borrows the car - she's not safe pushing a shopping trolley ! lol

Anyway, I can defo recommend them to anyone who's thinking of going this route.

Let me just give you an insight into how quick this car of mine is now....I have a gixer 600 K3 also, so...

My lad in the scoob and me behind on the gixer. I couldnt catch the scoob, seriously

Fine when the scoob got to 120 flat out, but up to that point the gixer was behind....I am well chuffed to say the least

Fuel is still a problem....just guzzles it but the grin factor truly outweighs the financial punishment

What else do you expect topping 120?

Jct 35 M6 to roundabout. Take 3rd exit off and to the T junction. Turn right. Come to village, watch the speed camera! Traffic lights on narrow bridge to next lights - straight on through town. Under bridge and head out of town. As you bare right there is a left turn, take that and TEG sport up the hill on right about 500yds.

Hope you have a good day and enjoy the journet back even more so!

I had a re-map and tweak and pulled out 333bhp and 305lbs of torque!!
COME ON!!!

What a blinding bloke Steve Simpson is......I mean he really knows his stuff and as far as i'm concerned, he will be the only person going near my car from now on.....

If you want results, unmatchable knowledge and someone who actually loves what they do.......then you must go to him.......

Only don't start talking about 2.5 conversions cause you'll end up walking away with one!

Amazing........I mean when that torque kicks in it just keeps going and going so that by 6200rpm I get to change gear nice and easy....

sounds good. Think there are a lot of very good companies out there, all with good knowledge, guess it depends how far places are away from you.

Plus, without visiting a few places its hard to say one is by far the best!

What is your benchmark?

Not saying this chap is poor at all, just wondering how he can be stated as the best! It must be in comparison to?????

Just other tuners from past cars......how helpfull he was, when something wasn't right how he knew straight away what was wrong and most importantly (in my honest opinion) how he didn't lie to me or be-little me because I wasn't "up" on my overall knowledge.
Plus i've found when walking into another tuners, they look at your car but won't take it/you too seriously if they don't think you are. Not giving you the benefit of the doubt (not that i'm a caped up chav ) or not helping as much as they could because you're not spending big money.....

I posted somewhere else on here how my car dyno'd at 271bhp at G-Force's dyno and when run, without even touching the map, made 319bhp at TEG?
Now of course i'm going to say something was up if TEG's has shown me more but it's a huge huge difference 271-319 just on the dyno?
Makes you think......

Thumbs up

Had my clutch and 60k service done there - nice bunch of guys & they know their stuff. Aaron looked after my car too...

popping up for RR day 8th April too - see http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=495658 Lets see if we can get 200 bhp at least - I think I'll say I never made it there if I don't get that much

Cheers

Mick
