Default very pissed off

Just spent over £800 on some mods for my 02 Bug-eye (), new morrete headlight conversion, sti bonnet scoop and side skirts , Car in paint shop 3 days, paid £360 (cash)for colour coding everything. car looking really good.
Leave paint shop ,driving home hear a tapping sound coming from passenger side of car, look over and my offside mirror swinging loose on door post!!!! Mirror electrics still working ok but mirror only sitting on post, intenals broken.
Went back to paint shop, owner denied all knowledge that it had happened while they had car!!
Feckin bollocks!! i washed the car on the morning i took the car to the paint shop and everything was ok with car, i know every single blemish on my car and i know for a fact that it was in perfect nick when i left it with them
Spoke to my local Subaru garage and they told me mirror cannot be repaired, £220 to replace whole unit!!!! What i would like to know is what can i do about it? accept it and take it as a lesson learned, or insist that the **** pay for new mirror?

Write a letter stating that they are responsible and give them 5 days to respond .......................

State that you WILL take out procedings in the small claims court ..... you 'could' hint at the tax authorities too???? Cash deal and all that!

At the worst you will get an offer of 50% so you are still better off

Tell them you will contact trading standards too

Push, be polite and calm, BUT BE ASSERTIVE!!!

Pete

Don't be scared of using a small claims court.

I did it once and it's dead easy.

The judge was very fair and was most reasonable to both parties.

Ted.
