In the contract of employment which employees CHOOSE to sign, they agree that must also offer a positive suggestion if they choose to complain.

Hardly - I own that sad crack head he follows me around like a lost puppy, but he's too stoned to realise that I'm not interested.

 

Not a bad idea though really, complaining is a major problem at my work and thats depsite the fact there is a monthly meeting where moans and groans can be spoken about and answered. Too be fair there are often suggestions to go with the complaints but some of them aren't very well thought out.

Not that I never complain myself!

What do you think happens if a prospective employee chooses not to sign their contract? (Hint: the outcome is the same as if they actually had been sacked).

Has anyone heard of Dave Anderson, he is an American businessman turned trainer/presenter/motivational speaker. He set up and ran the most successful and largest Toyota (i think it was Toyota)dealerships in LA. so knows a bit about business

I have had the pleaseure of hearing him speak at two events on pc in the workplace and how it affects business and life in general. It is well worth a listen if you get the chance, also has a good book about this subject.
Main points are that is that he has a problem with PC and how it rewards no achievers in the way it does achievers.

I get to see lots of these life coaches and motivational speakers working in live events but Dave was one that made me sit up and take note.

If you lot aside your usual arguing Suresh's point is very valid. When deciding if they want to take a job they get given the contract. If they don't like it they don't work there!!

 

I can see your point, but many companies say 1 thing on a contract and do another. And its hardly wise to start complaining after 2 weeks is it. It depends if you are willing to tolerate it though. Or will you just continue to work there until alternative employment turns up.
