Default got a little prob, any ideas folks???

hi all, got a my00 uk turbo. when i start it first thing in the morning & try to set off, it doesnt want to move, theres a hell of alot of resistance.

thought it was the handbrake sticking at first but left it off & in 1st gear last few nights and its still doing it!

somedays i have to rev the nuts off it to get it moving, then when it does move theres a big 'clunk' noise.

any ideas folks???
thanks, ben.

I've noticed similar, but not as extreme, on my MY99, thinks it's got aftermarket brake disks which do seem to get surface rust very readily, I've always put it down to that, just hope I'm right but it does seem logical.

Rain and lots of salt on the roads does not help. Almost certainly the discs rusting up overnight and not the drum handbrake.
