Are there any visual clues on the MY05 STI with PPP to distinguish it from the standard STI, apart from a much wider grin on the face of the PPP driver...?
Does the exhaust look different possibly...? Anyone got pics they can post to demonstrate..?
cheers

If its the same as earlier PPP's has a round exit Prodrive branded rear box and a sports decat downpipe which you can spot by the heat 'jacket' on it rather than metal heat sheilds on the standard item..
Heat lagged sports cat behind the turbo is a big giveaway, have a look behind the turbo in the engine bay.
Exhaust back boxes are too easy to fit and some find their way on to non-ppp'd cars. If you are buying a car then check for the cat, also the car will come with a certificate.
Hope that helps some.

so, if I get this right, the only way to tell the difference on the M/way is that the standard exhaust is oval and the PPP one is round..? I know what the PPP one looks like as I have a WRX 300, so has anyone got a pic of the normal one..?

^ well yes, but bear in mind that most aftermarket boxes also have a round tail pipe.. don't have a pic but sure if you search for an STi back box on S'net for sale or Ebay you'll find one..
