Hi,

I have a MY94 WRX import saloon that has covered 69000 miles, and in the 10 months I have owned it it has always made a noise when you are off throttle... ie when the strain is taken off the drivetrain or when you're going down through the gears coming to a stop.

Has anyone ever had this before and is it a problem...? It is fine whilst on the gas and makes no crunching when going through the gears, only when off the gas...?

I'm thinking it's some sort or bearing issue but would appreciate some input from you guys.

My sti does it all the time. Just turn the radio up! Alternativley, you could try some different gear oil, such as castrol syntrax??
