All sensible advice, I see loads of people leave the keys in their car in the morning while they pop into the papershop.
Shouldn't have to be so vigilant but it's the way the country is now.
I park mine in a block of garages and i'm always paranoid some scumbag is waiting in the shadows....

nothing new there then...!!!!!!!!!!!! Good to have a reminder every now and then though..be careful/vigilant.

We should be okay,as we don't have high powered cars,apparently,according to some on the forum!

I know Pete, i'm half tempted sometimes to hop in and drive their car round the corner as a wake up call

did this exact thing to a mate of mine.
we were in a pub and a mate pulled up at the chinese over the road. (we were obviously by the window) he left it running and popped in the chinky took me about 20 seconds to get to the car, I drove it down the road about 200yds was about 50 yds down the road before i even noticed his 10yr old daughter sittin in the passenger seat. i didn't see his reaction but apparently it was priceless even did the look at where the car was then look down the road and look back at where the car was supposed to be again jumping up and down on the spot (all in the space of a few seconds) then chasing a moving car down the road.. wish somebody had filmed it.
how stupid do you have to be.. he drove it back to the chinky and guess what.... he left it running again still with daughter inside

 

Even people who start their car in the morning for it to warm up, and then thinking it's ok to lock it with the spare , are you people mad!!!!, takes 2 seconds to smash a window, and they're in, with a car already running.

 

They'll take it off you and you will spend Xmas in hospital having it removed from your rear end

Hubby starts his up on the drive and leaves it running to get it warm and cosy inside - still paranoid the car's being watched. They'd have trouble getting it off the drive though cos he starts it up with the gates locked and all the bolts are rusted - can just about open them ourselves.

Not if you run em over and then send em the bill for the damage to the car. That's the kind of thing the pondlife would do!!
