4 years I’ve had my licence and never had a crash, But on the way to Powerstation today for a remap, I rear ended some old bloke in a Skoda, Lucky for me there was no damage to his car apart from a slight scratch on his tow bar he fitted and the damage to my car was my Sti fog light cover was smashed and lucky for me I fitted them, as I can only imagine if they hadn’t been there to soften the blow, as it might have resulted with the tow bar pushed into my engine.

Anyway was a bit p1ssed at damaging my car, until I got to Powerstation and seeing all those scoobys sitting there, and I still cant believe how clean Powerstation workshops were, Anyway had the car remapped and got 308bhp which isn’t bad from a 2004 WRX.

Also I would like to say a big thank you to all the friendly staff at Powerstation, and if anyone is thinking of getting any work done to there car, I would strongly recommend going to Powerstation 1st.

Bad luck mate, it's a right pisser when you rear end someone. I did it years ago in my Escort Si ( yes I really owned one). I rear ended a Council van with a tow bar. Not a scratch on his but made a right mess of the front of mine. Next thing I know the Council are phoning me saying the bumpers f*cked and needs replacing. It was shagged to begin with, but as I didn't want to involve the insurance company, I just payed for a new bumper, then they tell me the guy's in hospital. The accident only happened at 2 mph, as he changed his mine while pulling out at a junction. I totally sh@t myself.
Took my car to the repairer's, the first thing they asked was was it an insurance claim or are you paying for it yourself. When asked why, it was cos the add loads more money to an insurance claim so they earn more. B@stards, and this was a Ford main dealer too.

 

can i ask what you have had done to achieve that bhp figure ?

As soon as I left, I put my foot down, and it threw me back in the seat, wasnt expecting it to be that fast, and I was well impressed with how it pulls really strong in every gear, even in 5th.

VF28 Turbo
Pink Sti injectors
STi TMIC
Sports cat downpipe
Decat uppipe and midsection
GGR Backbox
Panal filter
Uprated fuel pump.

Cant wait to get it on the drag strip, Got 13.9 with just a decat midsection and backbox fitted.

 

Aye, I wouldn't feel too bad about it mate. I was taking the car over to my local rolling road 18 months ago and failed to notice I'd left the car in 1st gear when I parked up in my driveway the night before. I started the car up with the clutch in, as usual, then took my foot off the clutch, assuming the car was in neutral.

It was rather embarrasing. The car jumped forward, flattened my neighbours fence and finished with 3 feet of Scooby sitting in their back garden.........

They were very good about it.

Totally sound about it, I made sure he was alright first, He made a joke about how I only scratched his tow bar, and mangled my fog cover. But thankfully he didnt ask for my insurance details etc.

I think I was cursed fitting those brakes, as I was told I should never crash the car, but I put it down to a lapse of concentration.

Splitter was easy to fit, took about 2mins to fit and included a 1min Tea break.

Paid about £200 for the turbo and £300 for the injectors from API'S, But was offered the Pink injectors for £195 by someone on this forum, but I needed them straight away and API'S wasn’t to far and they where fitted a day before the remap.
