Default TransPlanting an STi3/4 Engine Into Uk Scoob

As above shoe horned into a 94 UK, I have been led to believe that all sensors connectors Etc are the same & it is just Unplug , Plug back in.
Has anyone done this ??
What pitfalls did you fall into !! Etc
Thanks

Its true. All ancillaries from the phase 1 engines will bolt to a phase 1.5 engine

One thing you'll have to swap around is the throttle position sensor as that changed between phase 1 (to MY97) and 1.5 (from MY97 to MY99)

To take full advantage of the stronger internals it would be wise to fit something re-mappable at the same time

Are you just changing the block or the whole engine? I've got am STI4 block in my MY95 UK & everythings a straight swap Obviously gaskets etc... all need replacing but that's about it.

If keeping the phase1 inlet manifold, would this still be the case?

The ver3/4 loom is slightly different (hence the 3rd engine loom connector).
If you are just using the engine without the inlet manifold, your manifold will bolt straight on with your old loom.
If you want to use the ver3/4manifold then remove the ver 3/4loom and replace it with the ver 1/2 loom and adjust the TPS wiring as Tim said.

Basically the confusion comes as the early cars have 4 coil on plugs, whereas the ver 3/4 has a dual coil pack system using wasted spark.

Cheers All,
Was planning on the whole Engine, CAr already has an Apexi Pfc Ecu, so would be remapping this afterwards, Whilst the engines are out i would just swap the Inlet manifold then.
