Default breaking P1 - fuel pump question

Is there any benefit in switching my99 UK turbo wagon fuel pump with the standard P1 pump?

Also some people point to the standard fuel pump as a reason for some of the engines giving up

Is it worth replacing the Fuel pump? if so any suggestions with what? Also please excuse my stupidity, but what is the benefit, is it faster or more reliable?

It will make the car more reliable. When my engine blew up, Subaru fitted an uprated pump as they blamed the failure on that. (Lack of fuel to the 2nd or 3rd piston)

Might be worth posting up in the technical section for a better answer

Walbro 255l/hr is the recommended upgrade. Try Alyn at AS Performance.

Definately worth changing. Powerstation recommended I had mine changed as a safety precaution before my ecutek remap to guard against the possibility of fuel starvation.

I bought a Walbro 255 for £90 inc delivery from fla4online.co.uk - cheapest place to get one IMO.
