same turbo on 2.0 and 2.5 ?
Is there an aftermarket turbo (TD05 18g) for example that I can fit to an 03 2.0l STI that would work if I changed to a 2.5 bottom end?
This maybe considered a silly question but I really know nothing about the 2.5 route.
Cheers

From all the probing I've done it seems to me that you want to go for the TD05 20g.
Works well on my 2 lire (Sti v3) and I have been advised it become a nice turbo on a 2.5 where the slight increase in lag dissapears. I hope to prove this personnally when i end-up with a 2.5.

I had an MD304 on my MY03 wagon, removed it, and am planning on fitting it to my STi4 2.5 to replace the VF22 thats on it at the mo. I'm told it should make a difference, but would welcome views on that as its too techy for me.
pretty much all of the 2.0 turbo's will work with a 2.5, just depends on your boost/power target??
generally find that a 2.5 will not allow as much boost pressure at the top-end, but the spool will improve massively compared to the equivalent spec 2.0!
even a basic spec 2.5 conversion we did on a std 99 spec UK car that re-used the owners (previously upgraded) VF34, resulted in a very quick car that only really struggled for air above 5500rpm.........absoloutely ballistic (in 2.0 terms) everywhere else
