Last night as always I was baited by an X5.. two minutes later he puts his flashing light on his dash and ***** off... No markings on the car just a silver X5, the fella was plain clothed too!
Why try to catch real criminals, when you can bait ordinary drivers to speed thus making them criminals.
Why these guys do it for I don't know. It's not as if the £60 goes into their pocket. Then they wonder why the public have little respect for the police these days.

I once took the bait from an M3. Once behind me and at 100+, he put on his alternately flashing headlights. It took me all of 2 seconds (because my brain works slowly) to realise that the chrome spinners, funny-font number plate, stickers and ugly bird in the passenger seat all added up to a cop impersonator. Did't really matter anyway as I didn't lift off and had no intention of stopping!

Blue lights:
Police (inc unmarked/special branch etc)
Fire Brigade
Ambulance (inc paramedic)
Bomb Disposal
Coast Guard
And that's all.
just to clarify as my other half is a paramedic, the scooby is actually an rrv as opposed to an on call doctor who would use green.
Rapid response vehicles are used by paramedics and A+E doctors and are sent to emergency calls to arrive beforehand or to assist ambulances. As such they are emergency vehicles, hence the blue lights.
