Getting close to getting a 2001 bugeye wagon but trying to find some info on it's spec sheet (standard equipment, service intervals, etc).

Does anyone have anything they could point me to?

What model is it, a WRX??

I recently bought a WRX Bugeye (not a wagon though) so if you have specific questions i might be able to answer them as i done a bit of research by reading all the road tests / reviews i could find on the net!!

Thanks Chris, yes it's a UK WRX standard wagon.

I've managed to find most of the info I was looking for after 15 mins of frantic google'in.

One of the main things was whether the 2001 onward models had ISOFIX fittings in the rear for child seats. I've read in one place that they do, but in another it said it was only fitted from 2002 onwards.

Mine is a December 2001 and although i haven't actually checked it defo said in the handbook that there was definitely ISOFIX..... if your still unsure i'll take a wee look on the way home and post the results about 5ish...

Yep, ISOFIX in mine too. MY01 WRX registered October 2001.

 

bugeye aint good - i raced loads of bugeyes before and always beaten em in my 95WRX (modded )

badboy - yep, I know it's not as fast. I test drove the bugeye when it first came out and at the time I had a MY99 remapped UK turbo.

But since I've been scoobyless for a number of years now it will still seem fast

yeh sure urs is modded u knobend! its all about mods, the newage stis are growing on me so much, even the bug eye with the headlight conversion looks great! wouldnt mind a nice white one, with mods to see 340bhp

 

are you talking need for speed under ground or grand turismo and have you got cheat mode switched off

on the road, watch for the seats as the early bugeyes came with air bag style seats that were no where near as good looking as the std sports seats

also watch the service book as the very early models had service every 7.5k miles more modern one say every 10 k

the ppp for this model was only 240 bhp and not as good as the new 260 ppp

and speed wise a tek3 and decat will see you with 270 ish and a far better car to drive well worth an extra £1200

I wouldnt buy any scoob that had been modded with out a remap but others may argue ( walk away if you see a induction kit with no remap )

eem cant think of anymore but they are great cars

My dealer exchanged my 7.5k log book for the much more desirable 10k version.

 

Hopefully picking the new car up on Sunday - can't wait

Also just got the insurance sorted out - and only £540 fully comp with Norwich Union.

As far as PPP goes on a Bugeye if it has been done recently I think it is much closer to the 40bhp improvements (260) seen in the later models.
