Default Scooby info please

Ive just bought a scooby wagon uk model 1999 t reg, it is a 2000 awd turbo, so what is the difference between this and a wrx and should my car have the 2 pot brakes or 4 pots, any info appreciated.

You'll have 4 pots and the difference between your car and a WRX of the same year can be found by referening the following link

I know a guy who bought a MY99 Green Wagon Leather interior, had a Cone filter went bang on M1. Under warrenty went to API ? for rebuild, sold it as soon as he got it back. So some one got a bargin

Don't sweat it mate, UK spec cars rarely suffer engine failures unless abused or not maintained correctly. Be aware that they have notoriously weak MAFs though and these can cause engine failures if not attended to (keep an eye out for irratic idle, threatening to stall at junctions, hesitation at 4k). Also, steer clear of oiled panel filters and most induction kits and you'll be fine.

Cheers mate , MAF been done and has only covered low miles with fsh so hope everything else is ok, not modified either and will be keeping it that way.
