Default is your scooby reliable

Well mine obviously isnt
Nearly 2 years old(Sti with ppp uk)
Just gone in for 2 new shocks at rear
New whatever to repair the heating as its not working
New something else to stop the intermittant wipers making a noise

Already had 2 sets of speakers
Seat rattles fixed
4 attempts at making centre box work properly (Never cured and given up)
Some mods carried out to brakes because they squeaked

Cant remember the rest
This wasnt the standard i was expecting anyone else!

My engine blew up on my old MY99, but then you buy a Scoob expecting that...... or so some people would lead you to believe!!

Cheers,

Had my MY97 since 2001...

New radiator
New rear shocks (got an 18 month old set of 4 KYBs for £20 )
New gearbox (2nd hand MY99 for £280)
2 x cambelt tensioners
2 x rear anti roll bar bushes

Had the car over 4 years now and it has always been fairly modded, quite heavily this last year (hence gearbox going bye bye ) - I don't think that's too bad considering.

I've maybe forgotten something but apart from the usual wear and tear (brakes, tyres etc.) nothing else sticks in my mind. Things is, when you modify your own car you tend to replace a lot of the parts anyway, and also fix things yourself for free which you subsequently forget about!

had my MY93 wrx for 3 years since it first came to the uk. got a 103k on the clock. no real problems other than the 90k service and the earthing which was easy to change.

Considering its a weekend car and does get thrashed a fair bit no problems.

63k on one set of brake pads must be a world record.
What do you do, stick your foot out of the door to stop

MY99 97k and nowt wrong other than the usual garb.

Pads only fronts the rears are about to be changed.
Discs

Original battery.

Never missed a beat [shouldn't really say that, tempting fate]

Alot may be due to how it has been kept and driven [if caned like on a trackday regularly then likely to fall to bits as I beleive you should have an interim service after a track day]

Found mine to be very reliable.

50,000+ miles in my 4 years of ownership.

Only failures were gearbox related, due to abuse and lots of torque.
