Talking No one wants to race the scooby!!!

Is it just me or a people to scared to race Subarus. I've owned my MY02 bugeye for 2 months now and never get anyone up my backside. My previous car was a Clio 182 and I constantly had youth in there Hot hatchs trying to get past!!! I've even tried teasing an M3 but he didn't want to know!! one other thing is my car getting slower or am I used to it now. Think its time for a remap soon!!!

Ive had 1 race in over a year. And if any 1 does tailgate me i give them a big brake and reaction test, then burn them off. My car also feels slower some days, think its just in the mind though.

Yeah think your right. It seems to be one of those cars that sometimes feel fast and other days just seems slow!! I've fitted a Ninja backbox but really want to de-cat and remap it. Just stings the bank account

Does your engine managment light not stay on. It seems that de catting does this until you get it mapped

I don't think WRX's are that fast anymore. There are too many quick cars on the road. My Clio 182 would have been quicker. Especially round bends. Remap desperatly needed!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/newreply....ply&p=5078494#

You're obviously driving in all the right places. Im sick of people trying to race me and tailgating just because its a scoob. Tw@ts. Audi drivers in general seem to be the worst round where I stay.

Yeah I suppose you do get pi55ed off with people wanting a race. Don't suppose I'd race an RS4. Yeah lots of nova dreamers!! I wouldn't own a Nova even if it was the fastest car on the road!!

I've spoke to Andy Forrest and he'll ECUTEK remap mine for £500+ VAT. Thats with a mate too. We'll have to pay £200 for him to travel down from scotland but it should be worth it

interesting thread hijack but getting back to the point.

I enjoy having a car where I have nothing to prove. I've typically gone for Q cars and with everyone trying it on, 120 miles a day gets tiresome.

It's nice having the scoob and knowing that they know and don't mess and if they do they look the fool.

Yes I know that WRX are f'ing slow and my best mates girlfriends Saxo can beat it but it's quicker than the MAJORITY of cars on the British roads

No - just most people have grown out of it by the time they get their license.

is it because that most people dont race on public roads and that if you want to race your subaru you go to a track day event.
