Default dump valve

another question for all u scooby experts in here, i have recently put a dump vale on my scooby, its a lemans dump valve. i have notices when driving along normally, and squeeze my right foot down a bit more it like the dump valve opens and stays open give out a constant whoosh, i have to take my foot off the throttle to close the dump valve the give it harder acceleration so the valve doesnt open when accelerating, is this normal for imprezas or do i have a problems help any1?

No this isnt normal.
Has this always happened since you have had it fitted or just recently?
If it has always done this then I would say it is one of two things.
1:- Incorrect installation (check that you have the correct fitting kit)
2:- Weak diaphram // spring (faulty dump valve)

just since i put the dump valve in, thats two different dump vales its doin it with, worse with the lemans one, compaired to the other one, its fine when i put the standard recirc valve back in, i had it put on a rolling road, but the guy at the garage said it was losing boost pressure when hot, so i thot it was a turbo fault, now i have changed the turbo but its still doin the same

any ideas????

Leave the standard re-circ valve on

well i would but i prefer the whooshing sound from a scooby, just thot id ask incase there mayb be something wrong with the car, cos ma last turbo never done this
