Gearbox woes
Oh dear. For the second time since ownership of my beloved scooby. I need a new box. I dont drive the car particularly hard, so guess I must just be unlucky
. Anyway, I have a question that hopefully someone out there can help me with. I have been offered a gearbox from an older car than mine but with lower mileage. My car is 97 WRX, box is from 94 WRX. Last time I changed the box I ended up with the extremely short gearing, I think it came from an RA. Fantastic acceleration but a nightmare on the motorway. The numbers are 6P-TY752VB4BC the box I have been offered has a slightly different code of EF-TY752VB3AA Anyone know if this will be a problem, or what the numbers/letters mean? it has the same clutch operation as mine.
