Default STI PPP ECU into a UK turbo - what mods to make it work?

Hi, I bought a second hand prodrive ECU for a V3 but when I install it it starts and runs on idle for 3 - 5 seconds then shuts down, the check engine light shows error 26 - fuel pump problem, any ideas?

If it is an STI PPP then your talking new age?

To get it to work you need STi heads to take the rev limit and different flow of the map, uprated STi pistons etc etc..

The map will be out fuel and ignition wise, the rev limit too high..

How ever if that is a typing error and it is a PPP UK ecu and not a newage etc then it might be the key code.. in fact the reason it is stalling is probably the keycode assuming it is newer than a 96.. but I still wouldn't run it if it is an STi ecu even with the keycode reprogrammed..

It is definately not new age as it has the connectors (3 yellow) for the MY97/8 V3 cars. The ECU is badged with a pink STI plate which I believe all the PPP ecus of that age were.

Can anyone confirm if the key code stuff is run on board the ECU?

Why did Prodrive do PPP ECU's for a car that wasn't available in the UK - or am I missing something?

it's not an STI PPP ecu, hence my first post asking if it was a new age..

It is a 97/98 PPP ecu.. the pink sticker and calling it an STi PPP ecu is confusing the matter.. although understand where that has come from, not meant as a dig.

Take said ecu to a dealer and they can reprogramme it or your key so it will work.
