What's needed to turn a MY94 front into a MY99 front?
Hi there.
Me and a mate are new to the world of Scoob's so sorry for what may be an obvious question! My mate has just purchased a 1994 WRX Wagon. We were just wondering what it would take (and cost) to transform this 94 version into the facelift model?
Thanks in advance,
Dave.

My cars a 93 importort with a 99 spec front end, all you need is the bonnet complete with scoop and vents, grille and headlights. These all bolt straight on.
The 99 cars have crystal headlights so I used aftermarket crystal side lights and indicators just to finish it off better but its not essential.
If you want the 99 front bumper tis bolts sraight on aswell but you'll need the vents under the indicators and the 99 spec indicators.
Again all bolts straight on.

There are two different facelifts, the MY97 style will require the later bonnet, headlamps and grille; this model retains the original bumper and bumper mounted lamps. The later MY99 facelift will require the bonnet mentioned already, the grille, 'crystal' headlamps, front bumper, crystal foglights and indicators.

If everyone changed parts to make it look like a later model can you imagine for one moment what a future classic would look like? Picture the scene: Billy Jones bought a 1966 MKII Jaguar 3.8 in 1968. Five years later he decides he likes the look of a MK10 so he grafts on the bonnet and wings. Another 2 years later he thinks he likes the look of the Daimler Duoble six back end. His buddy Dave welds one into place. Heaven forbid can you imagine such a Heath Robinson? KEEP THE CARS AS THEY WERE INTENDED BY THE OEM. You will get more respect in years to come if the car is totally original.....Just like my Austin Maxi 1750 HL, still resplendent in its original russet brown and beige velour trim. My MY05 will stay the same way too....
Mine is a pre face lift scoob. All I changed was the bumper and indicators. The fog lights fitted right back in the new shape bumper. I got my bumper supplied allready painted from DR Motorsport for £250.

Don't forget the bonnet scoop...!!!As a matter of interest you haven't changed your grille. Do you prefer the earlier one?.

The splitter adds to it too.
BTW, is that scoop the 'high' or 'low' version?
