hi all

got a jdm 93wrx and tonight driving home me and my mate noticed a strange creek when the wheels were turning? is the steering rack on its way out or something? the power steering fluid level is fine.

Was the steering wheel juddering when you turn? My mate had a similar problem and it turned out to be the Auxillary belt slipping, which causes eratic pressure for the power steering.

 

could be the steering joint

no there is no judder, turns fine etc just has a really loud creeking as if its half hanging off!

 

Could be ARB bushes. See if you get it going over speed humps at a slight angle too.

check the steering rack rubbers,had this on my car,badly creaking.Greased the rubbers problem went away!!
