Default Dump valve selection

I'm looking for a dump valve for my 2001 bugeye, can anyone tell me the best to get between the HKS SSQV and the BLITZ SUPER SOUND DD. Any help would be appreciated.

My car doesnt feel as responsive since I took mine off. Sounds a bit more grown up I know, BUT i felt the difference when it was removed.

Oh and I couldnt give a flying whatever whether you believe me or not

Yeah i was thinking of getting a dump valve as well. Not for the extra noise but the performance

All i know is it's suppose to keep your turbo spinnning so there'll be no lag after changing gear. Plus it'll make the turbo last longer, especially if it's tuned up.

A lot of people have recomended the Blitz one but i've heard it'll stall your engine if you don't install it properly. Something to do with the pipe into the dump valve being to long i think.

Let me know if you do get one, if it's any good etc...

There is a small delay with the oem re-circulating DV; Id suggest getting a quicker acting re-circ; VTA dumpavles are ****e and they dont do your bores any good either.

What damage can they do to the bores?

Air volume and density is measured and the charge is fueled accordingly. A VTA dumpvalve can cause the bores to be washe,d due to the remaining air (after venting) being massively over-fueled. Also they sound crap.

It will only overfuel when you lift off (when it makes the noise) and Scooby's run rich anyway to keep things cool.

Ran my MY99 for 50k with a vta (and full decat) without any problems.

Dave.

HKS SSQV is an excellent bit of kit.
