when i start my uk my00 uk classic turbo
the speedo goes up to about 25 mph,on the spot
and if i then rev it to around 3000 rpm
it goes up to about 60 mph

when driving it is eratic,all over the place
got 90 in 1st earlier

a mate earlier unplugged the cable running into the gearbox and it was all clean,but the clutch was done about 4 months ago
could it be the sensor ?

any ideas anyone ?

It will be electrical, do a search on earthing kits- some classics suffer with it, some don't- my STi4's rev counter is all over the place when the aircon is on!

 

contacted my local specialists and they say its probably the 'chip'
in the speedo !!

anyone agree ?

 

Could well be....the chip or the circuit has fried....
