Default Your valued opinion please

Hi all,
Just took my 54 plate wrx sl in for 10k service and got a std wrx loan car.
Its done 25k and feels so much quicker than mine.

Is this just because it's run in more?

Any one got a 25k plus wrx and then test drove a new one?

Leather seats and sunroof heavier perhaps????

What do you think?

I am only guessing its std but i have no reason to believe otherwise.

I will ask questions when i pick up my own tomorrow.

Steve,

I'm guessing that it was Tiley's loan cars. Might be the hard life they have had has seen then lossen up quicker than most - but I wouldn't want to own one as I think they'll expire in the near future with the use they get??? Plus, didn't you know that loan cars and hire cars are always quicker than your own car - something to do with you not owning it????

Will have had the bollox thrashed out of it from day one - very quick car but not very long lasting...

Did it have the standard pea shooter BB? If not, maybe had a PPP??

It's not your car, you were probably just driving it harder!!

Seriously thought it may have had PPP if it felt considerably quicker.

Yours may be a bit tighter, but at 10k the difference shouldn't be too noticable. The sunroof and leather would make a negligible difference. You could always put it on a Rolling road if you want to see if all is ok?

Took my '53 STi into Tileys for some work a few times over the last couple of weeks.

First time they gave me a Justy - it was terrible - no radio / air con / manual windows

Next I went in they gave me a WRX - it went better than my STi. I wondered if it had PPP, but it only had a standard exhaust (so I guess not).

The steering felt so much more responsive than mine (feels sluggish in mine) and the acceleration in the WRX just seemed better throughout the gears (admittedly it didn't have the stomach churning boost when the turbo kicks in), but felt a lot better at higher speeds...

Funny thing was their WRX felt better than my old '03 WRX...
