I have amongst other things a Black Landrover Discovery, and it's a bi##h to clean & dry, plus my black Focus which ain't to bad.

Having seen the adverts on TV for the new Flash gimic, car cleaning gun, I thought I would give it a go.

Fantastic is all I can say, it makes life so much easier when trying to wash & leave streak free a large vehicle.

I cannot believe how the car looks when finished, there may be a couple of area's that hold water which allows a drip mark or two to be left, but if you dry these area's out by absorbing the water it leaves the car perfect.

The product says for three washes only, I've had many more than that on my Landrover out of the initial start up product supplied when purchased.

I have after 6 washes had to buy the soap solution, that was only £4 for a large bottle, however the non-streak solution is still working after 8 washes

May be a bit pricey to buy initially, but once you have the gun the solution is peanuts

I noticed that scoobyworld were selling a water filtration thing, slightly more heavy duty than the flash solution.

I'm a swissol man as far as the shampoo and what not goes, but I'm tempted to try one of these filtered water solutions for the final rinse.

 

Seems to have impressed many people on here..! I was very sceptical (sp?) but from what has been said it sounds good.

BTW Woolworth/Big W were selling the kits for £15 last I heard.

 

I have been using it for about 3-4 months now and results are Brilliant I think.

No not at all, I'm just a car cleaning junky & am shocked at the end result of this product if used correctly

 

Just to give another point of view, I've stopped using mine totally. Can't beat a hose, bucket, sponge and chammy as far as I'm concerned.

 

Problem with the flash kit is if you live in an area with hard water like me then the filters only last 2 or 3 washes, then theyre useless and leave more marking than it would do washing it normally. So it gets too expensive to have to keep replacing the filters. I use meguairs shampoo now which has a similar polymer in it to stop streaking. I still have to dry it off to get a glass finish. I use a microfilter towel to do this, leaves the finish spotless.
