Clean car with clay?
Just got meself some Macguires cleaning clay.
Any hints or tips for usage/best results.
All seems a li'l strange to me using clay but sure i saw a thread on here with good results recently?
Thanks all.
Lexx.
I used this stuff for the first time last week on my Black Mica WRX. Amazing results! You do need plenty of lubrication, though or the marks where the clay sticks are a right ******* to get out!
My bonnet has always had a slight milky haze from new which would not polish off. The Quick Clay has shifted it and left a deep,dark shine.
Top product, if a bit unlikely!

There's a good guide here;

When you have finished washing your car, as in rinsing it down and it is still wet...go over it with the Clay. Any area's that are too dry just water them down again..

as stated above, don't be shy with the quick detailer/lubricant spray, it's not like it's something you'll be doing week in week out
Top stuff, use as described on instructions, keep clay bar on a clean surface when using it. Wax after for a perfect finish and you can use a warm soapy water instead of the Quik Detailer, the clay just needs a lubricant to glide over the surface. Use your Quik Detailer for in between waxes. As mentioned www.autopia-carcare.com is a great site.
No its not just soapy water, its a cleaning solution used between waxes to keep a just waxed look, use it after washing etc. The soapy water is a substitute for it when using a clay bar - the clay needs a lubrication.
Meguiars sell it as a kit so the Quik detailer is the best stuff to use but when you run out of it or want to keep it for other cleaning projects substitute it for the soapy water. Again www.autopia-carcare.com is a great site.

Got some today.Didn't make too much of a difference on the Scoob...it gets washed and polished 2/3 times a week. Made a world of difference on wifes car...That gets washed once a week or so but no Zymol. The panels i have done on it look amazing. Bargain at £11 from a Halfrauds near you
works wonders on the windscreen aswell
had some poorly applied rainx that i couldn't shift, whizzed the clay bar over and it cleaned it up a treat. water beads off it now like it's been waxed
