i have been to goodwood for last 6 years (on the saturday every time) great fun, more there from one year to the next, but as it's so popular now you don't get to see as much as you used to due to everyone else getting in the way!

i get free tickets as my grandad used to work on the goodwood estate farm + still lives in one of their houses - within easy walking distace too!

can't go this year so he gave tickets away

Me and my son went one year not long ago, absolutley amazing day! jenson button in his F1 car stopped right infront of us (while he was ment to be doing a timed run) and just sat there burning the tires out! but then later on a vintage car smashed into the barriers again infront of us killing the driver, ending the day short and on a very sad note. Still the time we spent there was great.

I'll be there, i am engineering a couple of the cars in the Can Am section. Come and say hello Pete, leave your zimmer at home though, it looks daft being used by a 40 something.

In the early days you could park a few yards up from the pit area but in recent years that is taken up with race team trucks and now even getting in to the car parks at 0700 you still have a long trek down the lane.

I now go on Friday to look round the stalls and pits when its not so crowded and Sunday to watch the racing as the top stars only tend to be there then, also they only do the serious timed runs up the hill on Sundays.

John I will try and catch you in the CanAm section and have a chat about Nurburgring as I will be going over on the way to the Rally of Germany.

Andy.
