I heard that these are the quickest way to an engine re-build. Then again thats what i have been told and dont know for sure.

This could be an intersting thread, if its a good response i might well get one myself.

well i have a jw racing manual boost controller - not fitted because my injectors (standard 380cc) struggle to get the fuel in and cause det. However that is running at 19/20 psi and to run that power you will need a HKS fuel cut defencer to stop the ecu cutting the fuel which WILL occur depending on ecu/chip. My z4 chipped with scooby ecu to 15.5 psi with 17psi fuel cut. when i had the boost controller on there it hit 17 psi and whack fuel cut.

best thing to do is to get a chip or better still apexi ecu

but if you do decide to get one of these things dont go above .9bar think thats about 13.5 psi

if you do bye bye engine

My 02 WRX with full decat, runs at0.9 bar of boost, what could mine be increased to safely (well reasonably safely then) and what difference would it make?
