Well, I have had the scooby since march 1st and have always had a rear rattle type sqweek. from the rear window area !

Subaru have now release a know fix for the problem as I had my mod done on Friday Last week and all is now ok.

They have to cut some clips and apply silicon just above the foam near the rear screen.... this solved the problems first time....

Just thought some of you may still be suffering....

 

Interesting, my 2003 sti has a rattle coming from what I thought was the head lining.

 

Have the same thing - was driving me nuts, but didn't have a chance to bring it to the dealer.
I'm in the US and none of the forums here mentioned the fix.

I have a rattle from the same area on MY04 WRX. Mine comes from the plastic surround that clips around the seatbelt where is attaches to the pillar.

Is this the same palce as your rattle montymole1?

 

I had the same thing on my 04WRX. They re-fitted the back windscreen which has solved the problem.

Exactly same on mine but dealer just told me they have not received any official release from subaru.

The mod did come from Subaru head office ! I even confirmed it's existance buy calling Malta....as my sti is an import...and the guy in the service desk even had the same problem !
