MY93 WRX Noise when driving in gear?
Gents,
Have an MY93WRX which has had a fair bit of tuning.
When ticking over the car is fine however when you accelerate in all gears it makes a grinding growling kinda noise... it still makes this noise when you knock it into neutral and coast to a standstill.
Could you tell me what this is likely to be, and approx repair cost?

Got something similar. But mines grinding and knocking. Been quoted £1300 to supply and fit recon box.

just done this one mate,is it a whiring noise?.i think its th pre load and backlash that needs to be reset on your gearbox.youve been givinit some aint ya. box off im afraid,dealer will doit for you if you take them the box.if its not that it will be the rear center diff(viscus unit) burnin but doubt it.
