Ok think your economy is bad listen to this.
Having just sold my car and needed transport to Wales on Saturday i borrowed my old fellas Chevy Silverado 5.7 petrol pick up. My mate has a Scoob classic and did the same trip and admittidley he took it easy but he swears he managed 170 miles out of 1/2 tank. i Sat with the cruise on at 60mph and i got 18 mpg and 11mpg around town - i did not even floor it.
you would not believe how much fuel it got through
The thing is like any performance car if you floor it it will guzzle but with a scoob take it easy (ok almost impossible i know) and keep it off boost surely you must get nearly 30mpg.
After this weekend when i get my next performance car i will never moan again about fuel consumption
F*****g 11mpg whats that all about

strongly agree, i used to own a MY98 UK turbo with full decat, and i drove from london to Manchester to buy an evo 5 for my m8, and it only uses 1/2 a tank thats crusing at 70mph.....
thats not bad for a 260bhp car right??

NW mark who posts on here has a modified Audi S3 and when i spoke to him he told me if he takes it easy he can get better mpg than his old 2.0 Ford Focus!
The thing is with a Scoob it's so hard to resist the temptation of putting your foot down!

But you do have the best of both worlds (sort of)
take it easy and get a reasonable mpg and have the power in reserve.
If you have a bl***y great 2.5 ton 5.7 litre Chevy pick-up no matter what
you do consumption is crap - and its slow as well!!!!!

Scoob always seemed fine to me, given the performance.....my average tank is a mixture of booting it here and there, some motorway driving and normal driving, and normally lasts about 270miles at least....that's a combined consumption of about 22mpg...not bad i reckon given the fun i have....and i've had well over 300 from a tank if i'm careful, which is an even 25mpg

I did a round trip of 200 miles A+B roads & some motorway. Scared the life out of my Bro once we got on the winding roads toward Chippenham
Found it very hard to keep to "Normal" mode. "Point 'n Squirt" mode kept coming back
Was pleased with gas consumption though, considering how I was driving.
And yes I am still "Running in" Honest.
