Cool WRC OF SILVERSTONE 350 BHP UPGRADE TO STI PPP

Has anybody tried this upgrade offered to 03 STi PPP onwards for c £1500 with std turbo + better breathing and ECU changes + better TMIC?

Sounds good if it works - £600 pa warranty is somewhat steep mind...

Informed comments on this company / conversion?

I cant give you any feedback but.....

If its a genuine 350 horses then I think its a belter!

I'd like to go this route but can't cuz of the warranty issue (05STI PPP)

Also no direct feedback, but I'd be interested re: the "better TMIC", as common opinion on here is that the STi TMIC is pretty good anyway.

There will be people here that'll tell you that 350bhp is pushing the limits of the standard turbo. However, I know there are things like the TSL 333 kit, and some others running up to 340bhp (at least at Power Engineering ) from effectively a decat and ECUTEK. The PPP already has the exhaust pretty well sorted, getting 10-15bhp on top of that by improved intercooler, breathing and map for £1500 doesn't sound out of the question. Whether it'd make 350bhp at Power Station (for example) would be the real challenge, though.

They shouldnt need to change the intercooler, the STi one is pretty good for 350+bhp , though its top end on the vf35 turbo though, not sure if it will make a stable 350bhp, the TSL 333 pack is a more believable figure to achieve on an MY03 STi.

Making 350+ on PS's rollers is'nt that difficult....... if you use the correct bits.

Regards,
Shaun.

They have a very good reputation for Evo tuning, especially where the 260 is concerned.
Lots of satisifed customers over on the Lancer register.

I don't doubt that - I'm just not sure that a VF35 would constitute one of "the right bits" in this situation?

Got to admit I do generally like APS gear, I have their sports cat exhaust on my 02WRX - certainly no complaints - and the APS TIMC is a nice bit of kit.

I have been told that the aps top mount is not as good as the STI version

but I do have it with a vf35 and can't get above 320 on my 02wrx at the clinic

If I have the 05sti does that mean the turbo is the vf35?

If thats the case then should I look to change the turbo if I ever want to exceed 320-330 bhp?

Cheers

So the 350 conversion doesn't require the APS exhaust then. It still uses the sports catted prodrive downpipe and is still 2.5" ?

But their 330 and 360 package use the 3.0" APS Exhaust...

Can the 2.5" sports catted system flow enough gas to get high power ?

Whats the limit ?
