It's back. Good to see VBH on the screen again. The Ferrari as always has it's spine tingling engine note.

Should be interesting next week with the Holden review, wonder if they will put up against P1 LOL

Don't like the new presenter. But like the new intro, much more classy.

Top Gear returns.

Wow!! an Audi A2 shoppers car, a Seat MPV kids to-school-mobile, a combined harvester race, and a BMW diesel... oops I almost forgot the obligatory Ferrari. All very predictable

Top Gear gets worse with every new series. The most exciting thing was seeing VBH climbing on top of the combined harvester.

It's just like Driven now - just like when CAR went sh** when Top Gear mag came out.

VBH - Leather trousers - Ferrari

Bobbins Bobbins Bobbins.

VBH I would rather be seen in Margret Thatcher.

Dear Editor of Evo magazine, why don't you produce a TV program based around your monthly magazine!!

VBH + Leather trousers + 360 Spyder = DROOL

They should get Jenson in more often,he could teach Tiffany Dell a few tricks.

Enjoyed the race with the Beemers with some very nice attacking of the corners shown by both.
What did everyone think of Jason Plato's drive round silverstone in driven?

A bit of a let down. I feel they tried to pack too much into a 25 min pgm. I hope it improves.

I wonder what happened to Quentin Wilson. With car prices dropping maybe he had to concentrate on his 'Second Hand Car Salesman' role...

Quentin Wilson now works for Richard Branson as a consultant for his Virgin Cars 'cheap' car website.

The rest of his time is spent writing columns in the Mirror warning people off buying grey imports!

Have to agree here .... It's just not like it used to be, marking a car out of ten .... seen it on driven "mr producer" and I ain't impressed ...

Still nice to see VBH back on our screens ... even if it was racing combine's bet Clarkson's cringing with what they have done with his old soapbox ..

Bring Back Clarkson as a producer I say

Top Gear used to be about presenters, not cars, we watched for the wry, smug quentin,..the laddish jeremy and the **** tiff...now we've got jason (subtitles please) and you are no clarkson so don't try the comic quips, VBH...OK the programs saving grace and still that **** tiff !

oh dear what is the world coming to??

at least it hasn't plumbed the depths of carfile or motorweek (yet)

yours Unimpressed

... and they seem to want to keep trying to convince us that "this is the only program you need to watch". i.e. Please don't watch anything else - we're the best, really we are.

Bunch of ****.

I liked Quentin and his reporting style, it contrasted nicely with Tiff (whose powerslides are nice to watch) and Jeremy of course.

Not impressed. Why on earth have they got that Jason guy from Drivel on? Sorry, but this had disappointed me.

Also, did notice when VBH was climbing ito the combine that she seems to have but some weight on...

Also, also, she could do with a booster cusion to see over the top of that Ferrari

Agreed, it was pretty poo

One highlight though, Jenson made a fantastic job of a couple of bends. To my shock, Tiff did a lovely job of one of them too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did make laugh when Jenson said "You've lost again tiff!"

Question

What happened to the other guy from Driven who came over to Top Gear 2 seasons ago? He disappeared after part of one season. He talked in quite a posh voice and came over to Top Gear straight after the first season of Driven.

Dave T-S: Suits you sir....

I normally watch it live but last night I did record it and then FF through to the interesting parts. (admittedly the Ferrari section was watched twice).

I'm not sure if I like the Driven-esque marks out of ten for a car.

I am looking forward to Driven when Jason Plato gets to drive more serious machinery. I'm sure it'll happen before the end of the series.

I was very happy to see that that Barlow bloke had disapeared from Drivel hopefully never to appear again .
But did I get a nasty shock when i tuned into Top gear ! Even more drivel now , but that's just my own opinion .

I don't like Barlow either. Smug so-and-so is the impression he gives me.

Driven have done very well to replace him with a real driver. Now they have a rally-driver, a BTCC-driver. They can now get rid of Brewer and get ... I dunno .... an F1 driver?
